Counselling

Sometimes life feels heavier than it should.

You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, exhausted, or simply not quite yourself. Perhaps your mind won't switch off, you're carrying worries alone, or you're finding it difficult to make sense of your thoughts and feelings.

You might be struggling with a harsh inner critic, constantly questioning yourself, overthinking conversations, or feeling like you're never quite good enough, no matter how hard you try.

You don't have to face it all by yourself.

Counselling offers a confidential, supportive space where you can talk openly without fear of judgement. There is no pressure to have all the answers, know exactly what to say, or even be certain why you're struggling. We can explore things together, at your pace.

Whatever has brought you here, you deserve to be heard.

My Approach

I believe that healing and growth happen when we feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. Rather than telling you what to do or offering quick fixes, I provide a safe space where we can explore what's happening for you and make sense of it together.

I understand how difficult it can be to reach out for support, especially when you've spent a long time coping on your own. Many of us become experts at carrying on, even when we're struggling underneath.

Every person is different, so I adapt my approach to meet your individual needs. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship, creating a space where you can feel comfortable enough to be yourself, explore difficult emotions, and develop a deeper understanding of who you are.

Alongside my counselling training, my background in holistic therapy has given me a strong appreciation of the connection between mind and body. I believe emotional wellbeing is about more than simply managing symptoms. It is about understanding yourself with greater compassion, building self-acceptance, and finding a way forward that feels right for you.

Who I Work With

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and life challenges.

You may be:

  • Feeling anxious, stressed, or overwhelmed

  • Struggling with low mood or depression

  • Living with low self-esteem or a lack of confidence

  • Battling a harsh inner critic or feeling not good enough

  • Constantly putting other people's needs before your own

  • Experiencing grief or loss

  • Feeling stuck, lost, or unsure about the future

  • Finding relationships difficult or emotionally draining

  • Carrying the weight of caring responsibilities

  • Experiencing stress, burnout, or emotional exhaustion

  • Going through significant life changes

  • Feeling disconnected from yourself or the life you want to live

You do not need a diagnosis or a specific reason to seek counselling. Many people come simply because something doesn't feel right and they want support to understand why.

Whatever you're facing, you don't have to go through it alone.

What to Expect

Sessions last 50 minutes and are available online or in person.

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to counselling. There is no expectation to share everything straight away. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Many people feel nervous before their first appointment. This is completely normal.

You do not need to prepare anything.

You do not need to know exactly what to say.

You do not need to have a clear goal.

Sometimes people come to counselling simply knowing that something doesn't feel right, and that's enough.

Everything you share is treated confidentially, with a small number of legal and ethical exceptions relating to safety, which I will explain before we begin.

I am a registered member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and work in accordance with their ethical framework. I also work under regular professional supervision to ensure safe and ethical practice.

Taking the First Step

Reaching out for support can feel daunting, especially if you're used to managing everything on your own.

If you're considering counselling and would like to find out more, you're welcome to get in touch. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have and help you decide whether counselling with me feels right for you.

You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin.
