About Counselling
Talking to friends and family can be helpful, but they often have their own opinions or ideas about what you should do. While this is well-meaning and completely human, it can sometimes make it harder to be fully ourselves, or to feel truly heard without judgement.
Counselling offers something different. It provides a safe and supportive space to explore what’s going on for you, without advice or expectation. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply need time to talk things through, counselling can help you understand your thoughts and feelings, make sense of experiences, and begin to move forward.
Counselling meets you where you’re at and offers a space where you can feel seen, accepted, and supported to find your way forward.
My Approach
I believe everyone needs to feel they can express themselves without fear of judgement. When we feel safe enough to share what’s really going on inside, it opens the door to deeper self-understanding, healing, and growth.
My work takes an integrative, compassionate approach, meaning I adapt how we work together depending on what feels most supportive for you. At the heart of this is the therapeutic relationship - a space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.
My approach focuses on helping you make sense of your experiences with greater understanding and acceptance, and on developing kindness toward yourself. I bring a grounded, warm, and holistic perspective, and believe that connecting mind and body is essential in the process of healing and change.
Who I Work With
I work with adults who need space to feel heard and understood. Whatever you’re struggling with, I’m here to help you find your way.
You may be feeling low, anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck. You might be dealing with depression, anxiety, burnout, or chronic stress and finding it hard to move forward. Whatever brings you to therapy, you don’t have to face it alone. Together we can explore what you need to help you move toward greater ease, freedom, and inner peace.
If at any point I feel that another type of support would be more suitable for your needs, we can talk this through together and I can help you find the right service or professional to ensure you’re well supported.
What to Expect
Sessions last 50 minutes and take place either online or in person in a quiet, private space. You lead the pace, and we work collaboratively. I won’t judge, diagnose, or tell you what to do. I’ll walk alongside you as we explore things together.
Counselling is usually most effective when sessions are held weekly, especially at the beginning. This consistency helps build trust, safety, and momentum in the work we do together. As things progress, we can review this and move to fortnightly or less frequent sessions if that feels right for you.
Everything you share is treated in confidence, with some exceptions around safety, which I explain before we begin. I’m member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This means I’m working ethically, under supervision, and in line with the BACP Ethical Framework.
